They must be good with something?

Here are my flax seeds. So far I've incorporated them successfully into oatmeal. But I haven't tried anything else, and I don't have any ideas. Do you? They are apparently quite a fabulous super food, but I don't know how to use them. Any ideas would be HIGHLY appreciated.

  1. We put them in our bread. And granola. Yummy!

  2. Great idea Kirsten! Do you have a bread-maker?

  3. Hi there Emily!
I have on occasion ground them and used them to bind mashed black beans into little patties. I have a recollection of reading once that heating them destroys the omega fats, but on the other hand they are a natural food, so unless you are specifically eating them for your omega 3/6/9, that's another way to go!
I like Kirsten's idea of putting them in granola :)
