Boring Toast Eater

My main staple food of this week:
1) Whole grain italian bread toasted with vegatable hummus.
2) Or, if I'm feeling really exciting, whole grain italian bread toasted with peanut butter.

I am in a total food rut! Even with a bunch of veggies and beans in the house! Where is my long lost food enthusiasm?

I guess it's just a toast week. Are you in a food rut lately? If so, what are you eating bunches and bunches of?

  1. this sometimes happens to me too. sometimes i am just tired of eating, period. don't know what it is, but i usually recover in a couple of days.

  2. Em, I totally hear the rut thing. My unfortunate rut at the end of this semester includes lots of breakfast bars or muffins. Bake up a batch and then have them to gnosh on for days and days!
    Can I suggest? Most Asian noodle dishes are easy vegan recipes. One of my stand-bys is udon noodles with green frozen veggies (broccoli or green beans usually) and spicy peanut sauce. There's great bottle sauces out there, but making your own is pretty easy too - and can last quite awhile.
